#1, Roger AFTER... See you midnight Z on Sunday...

#2, Agree, ferrite slugs only for low power.. A variable cap. does the 
trick much easier even if only across a few turns...

#3, Here we live on miles of silica sand so radials don't do much but 
loose power.. Around here conductivity is less than .5 milliseimens per 
meter.. Further north from here is mostly granite rock = poor ground 
conductivity...
Salt water is 5000, quite a difference in real life application...

Bottom line is that I only need one piece of wire and a variable cap... 
Cheap, easy, stable in all weather and it sure works good...
The dog wire has very high voltage insulation and is suitable for 
shooting over branches with a compound bow...
