[600MRG] A BIG problem....

Hi Ken,
I have posted the same 'nice rant'. But just look how many hams give
away their priveleges and allow HOAs to govern their operations - and
half of the rest of their lives too for that matter. Apparently some
people prefer to have others run their lives for them and the more the
better.
Please do not invite UTC to play in *our* sandbox. They will merely tell
us if we are within a kilometer of a possibly affected PLC (or whatever
the gizmo is). That is the extent of their role. We are supposed to be
intelligent enough to understand the "*FCC*" rules that in such a case
we do not have "*FCC*" approval to operate at *that* location. I am sure
UTC has a lot of work to do other than notify us that we are not a
threat to their system and can simply go about other tasks and allow the
30 days to expire. Action from them is only required if our location is
less than a kilometer away from a subject PLC.
How much simpler could it possibly be made?
73,
Bill KU8H
