A bit OT, but....

I wish the UTC had *never* started giving out what I am now calling "advance notices to operate". I expect it was likely done out of a kind attempt to look friendly to the hams, but it has become a bit of obsfucation to several operators.   I do however expect that people will start receiving fewer of them once it becomes obvious to the UTC that locations for beacons, vacation spots, field-day sites and other potential operating locations start to overwhelm the UTC and hoping they will play "catch-up" to all of them becomes an insane task.

Oh well....
