[600MRG] 630-Meter Amateur Operation NOT YET PERMITTED

Gentlemen:

     There have been questions from several of you
about this.

     Normally, operation would be permitted 30 days
after the FCC published a Report and Order.  However,
in our case (2200 and 630 meters), the FCC/OMB have
to define a notification procedure.  Until that is
done and published, amateur operation on 2200 and
630 meters is NOT PERMITTED.

     I do not know a timetable for the FCC/OMB to
issue the procedure.

     Our good behavior is essential to obtaining
access to these new bands.  We're almost there -
let's not blow it.
