I am not sure you folks are aware of this, but not only is the RAK/RAL a delight from a 
mechanical standpoint, but the RAK is so selective that the "other side of zero beat" simply 
doesn't exist in those receivers when they are correctly aligned.

It exhibits true "single-signal selectivity"....from a TRF!!!

Amazing!!!

If you ever get a chance, take a close look at the coils: all are doughnut shaped: they are 
toroids, wound with very fine Litz wire. Their "Q" must be incredible.
