What is the point of a number like -85dB?  dB compared to what?  And without a standardized antenna system, what's the point of sharing it with others?\

The number might be useful for comparisons at the same installation from day to day, or before and after some change, but it remains a relative measurement - not absolute.  And definitely not useful to compare to other stations with different antenna systems.
