I received the following message from Ed W7LW in Kuna, ID this morning. I
think his report of his results with WSPR at his QTH, despite his high noise
level, would be of great interest to the group.

I know I was quite surprised and pleased. This means that there is hope for
my location too.

There may be a glimmer of hope:

I set 630m WSPR up for recording last night before I went to bed, under the
theory that even my neighbors will likely do that at some point.

In addition to the regulars, VA7JX, VE7BDQ, WH2XGP, I decoded:

WB2XIQ in Duncanville,TX at 1340 UTC at-22 (many times)

WD2XSH/15 in Little Rock, Ar at 0628, 0636, 0712 and 0754 -22 and -26, no
stronger or weaker.

WX2XJM in Saegertown, Pa at 1122 at -27 (one time).

WG2XXM in Shawnee, OK many times -22 to -27.

I will repeat this process at my bedtime, when I get my old laptop equipped
with a wifi adapter, so I can upload this stuff, which should be in a day or so.

In the mean time, I will take your suggestion and start looking at receiving
antenna options. That should keep me interested and engaged...hopefully.
