Hi Dick,

      The 746Pro is a very FB rig but you need to bypass the MW attenuator 
otherwise it is pretty deaf. I modified mine and it made a world of 
difference. I can e-mail you the mods later tonight.

     I suggest using a synthesizer or dividing down from an HF crystal, MF 
crystals aren't really made anymore and a custom MF crystal will rin very 
big $$$.
