Another way to accomplish “one button” 630m band change with the K3 or K3S is to use an external transmit/receive converter and the KXV3A transverter interface option. It permits direct readout of your 630m frequency on the K3 display. I’ve got mine configured for a 10.0- 10.5 MHz IF and a 10 MHz L.O. I use the K3EXREF external frequency reference option with a GPS derived 10 MHz source. This technique results in long term stability on the order of a couple of Hz with everything in the RF chain locked to the same oscillator.
