Just in case you don't have a good junk box filled with those little motor shaft couplers,

There are plenty of cheap ones on eBay.

See item  231635209274 for an example of a 6 mm to  8 mm flexible jaw shaft.

There are many different sizes for $2 to $3.

ps: My motor is working great. It is a little slow but

i chose the 0.6 RPM version because i wanted  maximum torque.
