Lots of guys have LF noise that is local to their receiving area.

If the noise is broadband it might not be noticeable, but it maybe masking your reception.

If that is you, get a small AM transistor radio and learn how the ferrite stick antenna works for direction finding.

Get out there and track down your noise.

Some common sources are battery chargers,  There are so many different ones around today;

LiIon, Computer switching chargers, Motorized scooter chargers.

Check VCR's, TV's, Fish tanks, Lamp Dimmers, Christmas lights, Grow lights, etc...

Turn the power to your house off and see if it is you or if it is coming from downstream.

If you can find the noise, you can add big feed-through filters to the AC Line of the offending item and that will usually eliminate or reduce it.

If you have a Loop antenna you can use that as a starting point on your Noise Hunt.

Good luck.
