[600MRG] Corona Detection by Flash Paper ?

Regarding the fluorescent tube .. back when I was running WD2XFX at 2200m with about 200 watts in, a 4' fluorescent tube would illuminate in my hand within 10' of the antenna.  Once lit, the tube would stay lit for up to 25' away.

I wouldn't have believed it had I not seen it myself.

Anyway, my kids were little at the time and after my neighbor witnessed this "experiment" he wouldn't let his little girl come over and play with them anymore ...
