Warren's recommendation of the Hansen-Collin book "Small Antenna Handbook"
is right on the mark.  I regularly reread my copy to stifle my tendency for
crazy ideas!  This is a must read for anyone with our interests and some
parts are a lot fun.  They have very sharp pens and say things that needed
saying but you don't see often.  

 

I have the IEEE version of the book but the version on the link Warren
provided seems to have the same material just a bit different arrangement.
