[600MRG] Very low halfwave dipole for 630m

I have been using a full-size 630m dipole 2 meters above poor ground
(roughly .002S/m) for almost 2 years in Vermont woods. It is bare
aluminum wire strung between trees on electric fence insulators.
Orientation is 210 degrees true. With a 100W amp I get 1W EIRP vertical
radiation off the ends. It has nice (measured) nulls off the sides at
ground level as predicted. For example, last night on WSPR I was
spotted by 21 stations including TX, OK, WA, and Vancouver Island. The
latter station is only 2 degrees off the broadside (vertical) null at
3896km range. I have reached Europe many times, including Ireland 2
nights ago.
I erected a 50 ft high almost-resonant L last fall, but it it is about
3dB worse than the dipole in ground wave tests . Obviously grounding
needs improvement, but this shows the possibilities of low horizontal
antennas over poor ground. I will try to erect a full wave loop this year.
