ScotchKote (tm) paints right on to the silver soldered joint and lasts 
'forever', at least the ones from 35 years ago and are still PH neutral 
over silfloss and copper...

No need for radials at sea, the ship and salt water does it all...
No need for radials on land as well, a vertical LOOP means just ONE 
piece of wire for a much better footprint...
And the worse the ground conductivity the better it performs...
Maybe is break even RIGHT ON the salt water coast line...
