Good morning.

For several years I have presented 630-meter survey topics at Hamcom here
in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They have been well received and attended.

In 2015 we tried something a little different, holding a discussion panel
with two remote attendees, Eric, NO3M / WG2XJM, and John, WA3ETD / WG2XKA.
We used Skype in conference mode and the Internet as the transport
medium. This worked very well but 50 minutes was not enough time and even
staying 90 minutes since the room was available really only scratched the
surface.

In 2016 I would like to have a series of remote presenters bring 50-minute
talks with power point visuals on a variety of related topics. I am adding
the additional challenge of web streaming the content in real time for
interested parties that are not in attendance. I am still working out the
details on the web streaming part.

As I was considering this venture last summer, five individuals expressed
an interest when asked if they would be involved. As I am nearing the
registration period starting January 1, I recently sent confirmation emails
to those parties. Two of those have confirmed that they will present, I am
waiting on responses from two others, and the last had a conflict and had
to bow out.

If you have interest in participating and have 50 minutes of content on a
specific topic related to MF and LF, please contact me off list so we can
discuss. I would like to have 7 total presenters if I can get them, any
longer will make for a very long day. So I potentially need 5 more but
possibly only 3. If you are shy or unsure of your ability to present,
don't worry. These presentations are not to the Nobel academy and you can
do it from the comfort of your own home. In reality you won't know that
anyone is actually listening unless you dwell on that fact.

Regardless of the response to this call for presenters, there will be
presentations on these topics at Hamcom 2016 in one form or another. There
is a wealth of knowledge in this community that can help contribute to the
success of what we do long term as we hopefully transition to ham bands
very shortly.

Thanks for your consideration.

73,

John KB5NJD / WG2XIQ..
