   The overall description and assumptionsand conclusions of Parts 1, 2, 3 are still ok as stated for the July 30 set of receptionsof XIQ at SWLK9EN61, WB8ILI, and WA3TTS/2.
    The correction in Part 2 is: Don’t usevector addition to find the single velocity v for the whole patch. Instead,draw the velocity arrows with the tail of arrow v1 at the tail of arrow v2. Draw perpendiculars through the arrowheads ofv1 and arrow v2. Where theperpendiculars intersect is the arrowhead of the single velocity v for thewhole patch.
    v = v1 "&" v2  (particular type of vector composition) = ~600km/hr somewhat N of NE v1.
   This particular vector composition v is thearrow v that goes from the tail of arrow v1 and v2 to the intersection of thoseperpendiculars. The length of arrow v is its speed, and the direction of arrowv is the direction of the overall motion of the ionosphere patch, a little bit Nof NE arrow v1.
