ah HA!  Mike - it was you!

you were the ghostly CW whisper I heard this morning.  I had stopped WSPR for a bit to call CQ in CW around 1000z at 474.5..  heard cw somewhere around 474.2 + but not loud or consistent enough to isolate.  never enough or long enough with CW bandwidth.. so I wrote it off as a ghost of NoN.. seemed kinda fitting...

actually wondered if it was VE7SL or BDQ maybe running their beacons later than advertized.

anyway, band got nice and quiet this morning compared to last night which was roaring louder than the previous session on Friday evening.

good stuff!

John XIQ

I tried to copy the stations on MF last night (Night of Nights) but maybe I gave up too early (about 2130 local time here in Colorado). I did copy all of the KPH/KFS/KSM transmissions on the HF bands. Very impressive to copy their signals on 22 MHz an hour after local sunset! I ran WD2XSH/12 on 475.0 kHz in the CW beacon mode throughout the night hoping that the added Night of Nights activity would result in signal reports, but nothing has been reported so far.
