That's probably a fair statement.

But the MFJ has kept me out of trouble on a number of occasions when putting RF onto the system, probably even at low levels, would have meant the replacement of a FET if the system did not shut itself down fast enough due to a fault.

Some of us that have been around for a while prefer the GR516C. On a good day the MFJ is probably 
somewhere between 'guess work' and the GR bridge ;~) .
