Neil,

It was a quieter night here last night.  I saw Eric down to -12 at some point early this morning but I was already fast asleep so no chance for a QSO.  The QSB seems to be varying quite a bit the last few days but I can't decide if its real or just an ever changing noise condition negatively impacting S/N.

I saw that Eric made it at least once to G8HUH which is pretty awesome considering 5w ERP and a more compact antenna than last season.  congrats Eric... I can only dream...

This link was posted on the Topband reflector this morning:

I think the noise floor increase stands to impact us all going forward.  I'm already scrounging for every db I can get...May be kinda like the LORAN days on 160....

73,

XIQ

This is the first I have seen of XJM for some time. I am surprised to see that wspr2 decoded him at a -33 dB. The atmospherics must have gotten really quiet at that time of the evening.

0806 -29 -1.7   0.475754  0 WG2XJM EN91 37

This decode of JL's came in at -18 dB also last night. That is the best I have seen in awhile. The conditions are gettin' better !!
