Several guys have asked about a study guide for element 6. I don'tknow of any study guide, but when I was asking around others kindly hipped me to a textbook that was used to preparestudents for taking the various commercial and amateur exams. It is one which includesgood references to maritime equipment and practices and is thus good for the radiotelegraph license. It is "ElectronicCommunications" by Robert Shrader. It also has practice questions at the end of each chapter. Used copies are available from onlinesources. I believe my copy is thefourth edition.

I downloaded onlinesomewhere the complete pool of possible questions for element 6. Unfortunately a fewquestions make no sense, and others seem to have the wrong answer selected. Some of the problems seems to have come froma poorly done conversion of scanned paper pages into computer text. To make myself a study guide I highlighted the FCC's answers inyellow, and added my notes in red.

You canfind my marked-up version of the question pool on my website at

Goodluck!
