Here is a free program that allows your laptop or PC to become an

I use it to 'tune' out or flatten hot frequencies in halls made for 
audio, but if you connect it to a speaker output you can see very weak 
wspr carriers against the noise...
If you have 2 antennas with separate gain and phase control, it makes 
for easy signal to noise 'tune ups' and you can tune to minimum noise 
and max signal...
 From this part of the woods I see 492 kc. aero beacon in N'Fld tuned 
for best S/N means best shot at copying EU sigs...

If the noise is away from the direction that you are interested in, then 
the results are even better...

Antennas here are a 600' loop and a 1000' BOG...

Add a phase reversal switch on one of the antennas and see front to 
back, side, or wherever...

Adding a joy stick is next, maybe...
