Progress is being made!

Yesterday I married the TS-590S to my amplifier: 400 W and could have more 
if I wanted.  The output power is easy to adjust, either in the 590 or with 
the attenuator I have on the input of the amplifier.  I checked the signal 
with the spectrum analyzer, nice and clean.  Tomorrow I'll hoist up the new 
antenna which should take only a day or two.

That will leave only the ground system.  Unfortunately I need to have my 
fields plowed, disked, tilled and dragged before I can lay down the ground 
system.  The furrows left over from the last plowing several years back have 
left the fields very lumpy.  Shakes the bolts out of the tractor when 
mowing!  However, I have to wait for some significant rain to soften the 
soil and  hold down the dust which means that can't happen until late 
September.  Frustrating!  I'm hot to get back on the air.
