The purpose of this post is to reduce frustration both receiving and not being able to copy and not getting replies because the stations who can hear you can't get good copy. 
For 630 meter opening night, please remember that the cascaded narrow filters required in a high-noise area like mine mean anything faster that 16 WPM will become a stretched blur. 
Digital requires a wide bandwidth to average the signal and noise. My probability of copying digital from anyone a state or more away is down in single digits.
