[600MRG] Filter Caps Q / ESR - Bandpass Filters

In the case of bandpass filters for below the broadcast band, have you considered the bandpass filter design buy W1VD, ref: http://www.w1vd.com/500khzpreselector.html?  As I tinkered with this design using ELSIE, the filter analysis software by Tonne Software, www.tonnesoftware.com, I got the feeling that capacitor Q was not the limitation.  It was the Q of the inductors that limited filter performance.
