A small RF power amplifier uses a complementary 2N2907/2N2222 switching pair on the output to produce a squarewave with amplitude approximately equal to the power supply rail.

John,

I was hasty with my suggestion to look at the SoftRock 2N2222 driver stage. The input and output Z’s are not what you would need, so it would have to be re-designed. Plus, that stage is known to not have as good linearity as desired.  So I withdraw that suggestion.
