[600MRG] Loops and ground loss

There was a comment a couple of days ago regarding ground loss and vertical
loop antennas. I would like to reinforce that comment.

For a vertical loop close to ground the near-field ground loss is
substantial. Transmitting loops are often used because they don't "require"
a ground system and since the loop shape is not critical you can drape one
between convenient supports. A ground system can help but not the normal
"radial" configuration. The shape of the fields at the ground surface is
quite different from a simple vertical. Some form of wire grid is needed
but this greatly complicates the installation, negating the simplicity of
the loop. No shortcuts!
