George sent me the following information on his setup and I am forwarding it to the list. I am
in hopes that George will join us here in the near future.

Some of us here will find his QRZ.com page of interest! :-)

Hi Ken,

The antenna is about 360 feet long, give or take 10 to 20 feet. It just
runs out the side of the shop through a big (maybe 1.5") feedthrough. From
there it runs up and under the eves to the corner of the house where it goes
up about 40-45 feet to a crossarm on the tower. Then it runs about 300 feet
E-W to the back line of the property where it is only about 30-35 feet above
the ground. It sags a good bit in the middle. I used to have a support
pole there, but never got around to putting it back up after we rebuilt the
shelter on that side of the barn. Maybe next year! I think the wire is 14
ga solid copper.

I don't have any matching network, just use that in the TA-12 transmitter. The
HeathKit AM-1 says the impedance at 475 KC is 150 ohms. The same meter says
it is 50 ohms at 655 KC so that ought to be about 1/4 wavelength. The
transmitter has a 5 amp RF ammeter on it, but I have a 2 amp RF amp meter in the
line as it is a lot more sensitive.

73,
George
