[600MRG] It seems reasonable to assume UTC will continue opposition to Ham Radio 630m and 2200m operations

It is a bit frightening that a few watts of signals near a power line could crash the whole system. This should be brought up to not only the FCC, but whatever power commission exists. Fixing vulnerable systems should be a priority in this increasingly connected world.

A nearby moon bouncer 20 or so years ago was plagued by a occasional continuous rough signal on 1296. After some dogged hunting found that it was a harmonic of a control signal sent from a local rural water district to a pump to tell it to send water. No coding or anything. They didn't seem to be concerned until my ham friend showed that his hand held rig could run the tower over by simply holding the button down...quite legally. Fixed.
