[600MRG] AES Going QRT?

Yep, saw it in the ARRL letter as well.

Back in the late 50s and early 60s, I would pester my father just enuff to get him to drive me down to Milwaukee, from north central Wisconsin, so I could walk the aisles of the AES store. I'd chart with Terry Sternam and other employees, look at the "big rig transmitters" - Viking Valiants, B&W -and those awesome Hammurland and HRO receivers.....drooling all over myself.

My first sideband rig - a Globe double sideband transmitter (can't remember the model name) - from Terry.....gosh, getting all "maudlin sounding" ....BUT, more a soul full feeling of loss for our hiobby!
