Thanks for all the tuning ideas.

Not having a Vacuum Variable Cap I went with the Variometer tuning method.

I got an old Tupper Ware shallow cake pan and wound about 8 turns around it.

Then I placed it in the middle of the 12 inch diameter loading coil.

Got the SWR down to 1:1.2 wow.

I will probably get a motor on the tuning shaft later.

Now on the air sending CW on 479.903 kHz.
