That's certainly what I'd expect. :)   Most hams never even consider 
that ground conductivity is a complex number, though. I talk about this 
a bit in my ARRL book, Propagation and Radio Science.

   We have a nice NDB practically in our back yard here....actually it's 
the inner marker beacon for Ft. Wainwright, on 530KC.  I think it's been 
around since just after ww2.  Very nice installation....but some housing 
developments have encroached on its field. :(
