Warren,

John's (XKA) comment is important. Chances are that your only radiated 
signal is at fairly high angles. That means that the local worms will 
hear you in the daytime, and not much of anyone else. But at night, you 
can definitely do regional communication, assuming the other guy has an 
RX antenna with decent high-angle response. Those listening with 
vertical wires or "e-probes" will be at a disadvantage in hearing you.

BTW - you're coming in well here outside Worcester tonight, but my TX 
loop (used for RX)  is tuned way up the band, so I don't have anything 
for comparison.
