The 198khz transmitter is just across the valley from my new qth. I have had
to build a notch filter when i moved here to keep it out of my 136 and
477khz receivers. It used to be on 200khz but had to move to fit the band
plan of being a multiple of 9khz. I Did hear it in Dallas

I see that Simon Brown has been working on receiving BBC Droitwich
broadcasts using his SDR-Console software. I think they broadcast on
frequency that might be of interest to us. They must call it "longwave"
for some reason. Anyway, this might represent some new receiving technology
of interest.
