OPERATING NOTE: The Table assumes receiving station's ARGO display is set to 35 with ARGO visual gain AGC button ON. WSPR decoder has its volume slider set at 55% (just over halfway up). The RX audio output is set to make the WSPR decoder's green volume-bar indicator just reach 100% of its bar-slot. Adjust to suit you.
If the TX station decides to run QRSS all day or all night you can save it at RX end by activating ARGO Capture at top of ARGO window, click on Capture, and then click Setup in the pulldown menu to configure ARGO.
The Formula leverages a comparison of the WSPR decoder and ARGO working off same audio stream--regardless of who's transmitting from where, and regardless of the antenna/RX that delivers the audio. The tabulated C# values may vary somewhat depending on the characteristics of different types of band noise and local noise like pure white noise, lightning crashes, and raspy qrn.
