Hello again,
There were two problems, but the primary reason was time synchronization. Yes, I had downloaded and installed the  Dimension4 time program but it wasn't operational. When I checked the status and attempted to find a closer time server, Win10 popped up and said that it was not allowing the time program to change the computer time. There were NO PREVIOUS WARNINGs like this when I installed it. Elevating the privileges for the Dimension4 software got everything working great! 

1) make sure the synchronization software has the privileges to change the time.2) look in the list of time servers for the one closest to you.3) DO NOT ASS-U-ME ANYTHING!

The other lesser issue was all of the automatic "enhancement processing" in the audio channel. There were also equalization and amplification options that needed to be turned off.
I though it would be good to put a conclusion to the story and have the info here for others for other who may be experiencing similar issues.
