[600MRG] My quest for better LF/MF receiving "justifies" a new rig

I seem to recall a mod to eliminate the attenuation switched-in on MF and below, and another to extend coverage below 200 kHz.  After all these years I can't recall which ones I've done to which receiver (I have two R-1000s).  Do you have more info?
