Greetings all - 


As stated last week, I was planning on running a generic Field Day message again this year on 630m and notifying a couple of clubs around the North Texas area to listen with whatever stations and antennas they had setup as an outreach opportunity for the 630m band.  Since sending that message, this has thing has really grown legs thanks for the efforts, hard work and participation of three additional stations.  These include, WG2XJM, WG2XKA, and WD2XSH/20.

I won't say it as eloquently as XJM Eric did in his email blast to clubs in his local area, but if you are at a field day site or even at home, consider switching down and listening on one or all of the following frequencies for a special, unique to each station, message during field day 2014:

WG2XKA (op WA3ETD), 1W ERP 472.5 kHz VT
WG2XJM (op NO3M), 20-30W ERP 473.0 kHz PA
WG2XIQ (op KB5NJD), 1W ERP 474.0 kHz TX
WD2XSH/20 (op N6LF), 20W ERP 475.0 kHz OR
I plan on starting my message (about 8 minutes in length) as I am heading out to my field day site on Saturday morning, around 8am CDT, and running every 15 minutes through the weekend.  You will hear the others fire up through the course of the morning and run at various intervals through the weekend on their respective frequency.


Your reports are very much appreciated.  Your forwards of this information to other groups are also very much appreciated.
