[600MRG] last night WSPR

BDQ and XGP made it into Alaska last night for a few hours -

Im still scratching my head on my sky wave radiation pattern of this quarter wave loop - at ground wave there is a small amount of gain in the plane of the loop but not huge - but maybe I have a little bit of a cut dougnut in the vertical plane to the East and West - its tough to measure of course - I need to jump on a plane and do a few circuits....

Theres a couple of interesting videos on radiation patterns of 1/4 wave loops on Your tube but probably not exactly relavant to the local install here.

In Anchorage (at 35 miles) my 475kHz ground wave signal is actually stronger by a couple of dBs than my local/near sited 1430kHz commerical 1kW :-)
