The stations now operating on 600m are using FCC Part 5 experimental licenses for both beacons and contacts. I'm waiting for the Commission to open 472-479 kHz for general ham use, in which case you could fire up your transmitter on CW and make contacts.

Your transmitter, like my marine reserve transmitter, should be ready for operation using short-for-the-wavelength antennas. I'm planning an inverted L wire antenna worked against my station ground system (which is everything ground-ish I can think of, rods, radials, plumbing, heating ducts, etc, bonded together).

Hey Gents,

After working XJM on JT9 I CQed for another 15 minutes hoping to catch Neil but
it was not meant to be tonight.

I QSYed to GMSK 15.625 (MMVARI SOftware) and because the TX/RX freqs are setup
differently I was TXing on the wrong carrier freq.? XJM figured it out and we
had a nice, solid chat on GMSK tonight for about 20 minutes... Really a nice
mode.? I highly recommend.

73 and thanks to all for listening.? back to WSPR2 for the evening.? Hopefully
we will get a few more quiet nights for normal CW before the roar starts up.

John XIQ

I'm seeing something on 1100 which looks like a decodable signal but it
isn't decoding. I'll keep working on it.
