[600MRG] nice 2-way CW WG2XJM <--> WG2XIQ

Neil,

Those 1w erp QSO's work because Eric has a very superior RX setup and he is loud.  it means he does all the work and I can sit back and enjoy the ride.  he and I have had a lot of CW QSO's over the last year.  Some have been quality ragchews and some have been doing well to get a signal report across but they are in the book...I suspect this is the exception rather than the rule.  I'm just very lucky and fortunate it has worked out well.

Regarding my dropping off WSPR last night - Sorry, I shut down around 0400z because storms were moving up from the south.  That was the right decision because at 530am I was awakened by a flash of lightning...I hate those rude awakenings but at least I have everything shut down..

73 and I expect I will be absent tonight and living vicariously through one of the other guys...

John XIQ

Way2Go on the CW QSO Eric and John. I wonder how that will work if we are restricted to 1 watt ERP (or EIRP ?).

My wspr decodes of xiq stopped at 0538z last night. When I went down to the shack to see why, I found a dialog box for I-tunes trying to get me to proceed with an update. GRRRRR.....

I am currently UNINSTALLING Itunes cuz I certainly do not need it on that computer. Has anyone else ever had something like that happen???

Had a very nice CW ragchew with XJM tonight, in fact maybe one of the most relaxed and easy of all the CW QSOs we have had, at least from my side...Band noise is up as storms approach but listening on the vertical tonight, Eric was arm chair copy except for the most extreme static crashes.  Already looking forward to next time...I should note we started out briefly playing with digital modes but all roads always seem to lead back to "gud ol CW" as Eric put it tonight...
