Besides doing the operating logs, I'm hard at work on wood logs.

The project for the next couple of months is to put up the antenna support
poles. I have eight 45' utility poles which I kept from the last QTH and a
load of untreated 35-50' fir logs to bolt to the tops. I'd like to have
heights above ground of 75' to 90' (with part of the pole buried). Right
now I'm busy peeling the logs and cleaning them up. The poles will about
150' apart, placed around the pasture so I can hang a variety of antennas.
Once the poles are up an antenna will be fairly easy. With several acres
of flat pasture to work in this project will be much easier than the
exercise at the last QTH although I won't have the 150' poles which will be
missed. I'll have one antenna as the day-today station antenna with a
separate area for experimental antennas.

The goal is to be back on the air before fall!
