Ralph - thanks for all the hard work - though Im not part of the XSH group per se given my wanderlust work wise over the past years and felt I couldnt apply the necessary dedication required to be an effective licensed member - Ive spent too much time in Asia and other far flung mysterious locations...like Bartlesville Oklahoma etc - Still the forum and science continues to be an excellent in my view.

Alaska Part 5 WE2XPQ is continuing daytime ground wave testing on 506.882 ish
on qrss 45ish, best viewed dot 30 slow "XPQ". Power is 100W into the
loop. The reference source is an onboard TXCO and divide by - so
stability isnt GPS stab but good enough to paint a flatish line at dot 60.

Im
switching also to 137.7755 1Kw intermittently thru the day. Call sign
ID at 12WPM and 45 secs of carrier then repeat. Around 40A loop current
today - its warming up

Ill probably leave the 506kHz signal run
overnight tonight, Sunday night, for some exciting sky wave
stuff....although our sky wave hasnt been up to much recently and the
ionosphere acting more like a wet sponge. Im blaming that 3rd belt that
was...

Not heard much activity from my fellow Alaskans this season.
